What is Youth Parliament?
Youth Parliament is an educational program that simulates the real-world process of legislative debate and law-making. It provides students with the opportunity to step into the roles of parliamentarians, engaging in constructive dialogue on important societal issues.
Who can participate in the Youth Parliament?
Our Youth Parliament is open to students from Class IX to XII. No prior experience is necessary – just enthusiasm and willingness to learn!
Note: The Youth Parliament will be conducted in two separate sessions:
a) For students of Classes IX and X
b) For students of Classes XI and XII
How do I register for the Youth Parliament?
Registration is easy! Simply visit our home page and click on the “Register Now” button. Fill out the form with your details. That’s it!
What topics will be debated in the Youth Parliament?
Topics vary each year and are carefully selected to be relevant, engaging, and educational. This year’s topics are listed in the Home page.
How should I prepare for the Youth Parliament?
To prepare, we recommend:
- Reading the provided background guides thoroughly
- Researching on all the topics thoroughly
- Practicing public speaking
- Familiarizing yourself with parliamentary procedures (resources available on our website on Resources page)

What is the format of the Youth Parliament?
The Youth Parliament follows a structure similar to real parliamentary sessions. It includes opening speeches, debate sessions, amendments, and voting procedures. A detailed schedule will be provided to all participants.
What should I wear to the Youth Parliament?
Participants are expected to dress in formal attire, similar to what real parliamentarians would wear. This typically includes suits, formal dresses, or cultural formal wear.
Will I receive any training before the event?
Yes, we provide a brief orientation session at the beginning of the event to familiarize all participants with the rules and procedures.
How long does the Youth Parliament last?
As per the directives received, each session of the Youth Parliament should not exceed one hour.
Will I receive a certificate for participating?
Yes, all participants will receive a certificate of participation by the CBSE Board. The school will also issue Digital Certificates. Outstanding performers may also receive special recognition.
Is there a restriction on number of participants?
